IWLA is the unified voice of the global warehouse logistics industry, representing 3PLs (third-party logistics providers), public and contract warehouse companies and their suppliers.
Since 1891, our Association has been working to promote, advance, protect and serve the outsourced warehousing and logistics industry. The 550 IWLA members worldwide operate nearly 400,000,000 square feet of public and contract warehouse space and provide the most timely and cost-effective global logistics solutions for their customers.
Responsible Care®, a program pioneered by the Canadian Chemical Producers’ Association (CCPA) and now being adopted worldwide, is a set of initiatives that reflects a total commitment to making the entire chemical life cycle safer. Two important parts of the program are “Community Awareness and Emergency Response” or CAER and “Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response” or TransCAER. Community awareness and the safe and proper transportation and associated handling of chemicals is a commitment by the CCPA, its member and partner companies and each of their employees.
CAER requires each member company to have ongoing processes to identify and respond to community concerns, inform the community of risks associated with company operations, and have its own emergency plan integrated with the community’s emergency response plan.
Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors
CACD was formed in 1986 through initiative of Herb Montgomery, CACD’s first executive director. Mr. Montgomery’s goals were unity in the industry, to make business better and to gain credibility by all publics and communities.
CCPA is the national trade association of Canadian chemical manufacturers, representing 70 companies and Responsible Care Partners with from 5 to 5,000 employees. The average chemical company in Canada is a small to medium sized enterprise, ranging from family owned chemical companies to affiliates of global chemical companies. CCPA members operate some 200 basic chemical and resin manufacturing sites across Canada. Together, these companies generate revenues of more than $24 billion annually.
